Earthquake close to Mandalay
29 March 25: With regard to the earthquake close to Mandalay, I spoke to my partner in Udon Thani earlier today. Like many that are reporting, she tells me that she had experienced a sensation of dizziness but OK now. Furthermore, no property damage where she lives at our bookshop about a 15 minute walk from Central Plaza.
We hope that all those trapped in Bangkok, and elsewhere, will be quickly and safely rescued and our condolences go out to all those who have lost relatives and friends in Thailand and Myanmar.

Robert Harris has written many excellent books and this is no exception. Dictator at 129 Baht is one of some 2500 used books that we have in stock, mostly paperbacks, including about 150 non-English publications

Our stock includes the following in languages other than English:
Danish 7, Dutch 54, Finnish 9, French 22, German 21, Norwegian 28, plus a few others
We currently hold more than 2500 books, out of which there are about 160 non-English publications. These are mostly novels plus a few nonfiction.
They are situated on the top right-hand shelf as you enter our shop. Note that the first books on the top shelf are, quite obviously, travel guides, beyond which are books in different languages. Additionally, we have some large-format books on the top shelf of our red metal stand No.RF1.
Please refer to the stock list on our very easy to navigate XL spreadsheet, where you can search for books in a particular language or by author’s surname etc.
Otherwise, simply start at one end of the shelf, using our convenient step ladder, and do a physical search. All books are priced in the back, but regrettably, not yet in language order.

Used Books Shop in Udon Thani, Thailand
A warm welcome awaits at our Used Book Shop in Udon Thani, in North East Thailand. Our stock of some 2400 books, includes more than 70% below 35 Baht each. Most of our stock is in English but we have many in other languages too.
Some may not consider Udon Thani to be a tourist town. However, many pass through here on their way to Vientiane, for Thai visa services. Why not stop off for a day or several?, on your return journey, and discover what makes this large interesting city tick.
